Code of Conduct

This Event is dedicated to maintaining a safe and inclusive environment for all of our students. We prioritize providing a space where every person can enjoy the many benefits of dance without fear of discrimination, harassment, or any other form of inappropriate behaviour. Our goal is to foster an inclusive and welcoming community for everyone, and we believe in upholding the principle of freedom of speech by respecting each individual's right to choose their own words. We ask that all students and staff members respect each other's language choices and refrain from using language that could be seen as discriminatory or derogatory. By working together, we can create a supportive and secure community where everyone feels valued and respected. To ensure this, we have developed a code of conduct that outlines our expectations for all members of our dance community:

    1    Respect for Others:

Every member of our dance community or persons entering our venue should be treated with respect, regardless of their race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, age, religion, or any other personal characteristic. Any form of discrimination or harassment will not be tolerated.

    2    No Harassment:

Any behavior that is unwelcome, offensive, threatening or intimidating will be considered harassment, and will not be tolerated. This includes, but is not limited to, unwanted physical contact, inappropriate comments or advances, and any form of bullying.

    3    No Violence:

We do not tolerate any form of violence or aggression, including physical violence, verbal abuse, or any other form of aggressive behavior. Any disputes should be resolved peacefully and with respect for all parties involved.

    4    Dress Appropriately:

All members of our dance community are expected to dress appropriately for environment. This means that clothes should be clean and appropriate for dancing or the activity, and any clothing with inappropriate language or graphics will not be allowed. We know this can be subjective, but you know it when you see it.

    5    No Drugs or Alcohol:

The use of drugs or alcohol during classes is explicitly forbidden. If you attend classes while under the influence and are unable to operate a vehicle, it indicates that you are most likely too intoxicated to attend the class, and you may be requested to leave. However, events that allow the consumption of alcohol may permit its use. No alcohol is to be sold.

    6    Follow Instructions:

We expect all students to follow the instructions of their instructors and event organizers. This includes following safety rules, respecting the space and equipment, and being mindful of others.

    7   Have Fun:

At this event we believe that dance should be fun and enjoyable for all members of our community. We encourage everyone to have fun and enjoy the experience of dancing.

    8   Dance Etiquette

Follow basic dance floor etiquette as below

We take any violation of this code of conduct seriously, and consequences may include a verbal warning, removal from class or event, or legal action if necessary. If you wish to make a complaint about any person on any of the above matters, please talk to a teacher or organiser, and we will maintain your privacy.

By adhering to this code of conduct, we can create a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment for all members of our dance community
